-*- What killed Zee in Bangkok?
Okay... Fine, so my Bangkok trip was about a week ago, but I still wanna blog about it.. But since I'm like in the middle of a little project that my aunt got me to help her with, I shall do my Bangkok trip in smallER doses.. It's also a friendlier method.. For you and for me... But this is still a very long post.. Main post ma... Just read la... Heheh...

Okay.. So what killed me in Bangkok?

*Drumrolls*

The endless shopping!!!!

Surprise Surprise right? If you really think that I can shop endlessly, Meet my sister......

Look at how happy she was on the way back to hotel from shopping!!

Anyway, from the start of the trip.........

After we reached at about 4pm SG Time.. We went to Mah Boon Krong... Mah Boon Krong is one happening shopping centre in Bangkok.. We always go there whenever we go Bangkok.. But things have changed and the stuff there, though still happening, have gotten very much more expensive...

So shopping there wasn't too much fun.. But thanks to the shopaholic sister of mine, we managed to go out of MBK and move on to greener pastures... We went to this place with many many many MANY small shops which sell many many many MANY different things.. From clothes, to shoes, to clothes, to accessories, to shoes, to bags, to accessories, to clothes, to bags, to shoes, to clothes, to accessories, to bags, to clothes, to shoes, to bags, to accessories to anything that all girls need... I managed to get a pair of okay-looking denim skirt... Fantastic shopping there, although quite killing (because my legs were killing me..), but still was a little fun.. Hehe.. And we bought quite a lot of things.. I bought about 10 pairs of earrings (Some are for friends hor...) that night..

Then it was time for Patpong.. We left for Patpong (a night market) so late it was unbelievable.. How can any sane person be leaving for shopping at 1145pm?! Even in Bangkok time, it was 1045pm!! But oh well, it's a night market and it's a must-go for my family and me whenever we go Bangkok.... It's a street with a lot of stalls set up only at night for shoppers that didn't get enough in the day... Along the stretch of stalls are Clubs and Pubs.. Strip Clubs available too.. Hahah.. So when shopping there, you will sometimes be pulled by the "bouncers" to go inside for "Thai Girl Shows" (commonly known as "Tiger Shows"... Hahaha, it was then that I realised what that "Tiger" is a misprounciation of "Thai Girls")... Anyway, saw a pair of nice denim skirt but price haggling went unsuccessful so I didn't buy....

Anyway, my legs were in major pain when we were shopping through the street.... But even after Patpong closed, at 1am BKK Time, we continued to walk along the road, as there are a lot more street stalls... Tired Tired Pain Pain......

Finally, at 2am BKK Time (3am SG Time!!!), we left that place for the hotel... Can you believe it? We shopped from 4 in the afternoon till 3 in the morning!!! Goodnesss......

The next day (Sunday, 11 Dec), we went Chatuchat... The weekend market that she so looks forward to... And I so did not... Mainly because I knew she would shop till I dropped... dead.. Hahahaha.. Which she kinda did, but thankfully for me, she left me somewhere to sit after I started complaining about my legs in pain, no longer just aching, they were in PAIN... AND I was still having diarrhoea from when I was in Sngapore.... Brrr.. So I went to sit down some stupid open air hot "cafe" to sit.. It's very hot there.. Chatuchat was hot by itself... And the place was cooking so it's exceptionally hot..

While I was resting myself, falling asleep, calling Dear, eating, drinking and what-not, Erjie was happily shopping, shopping and shopping... Bought a lot more things than when I was shopping with her.. Hahah.. And she got me the pretty denim skirt that I was eyeing in Patpong.. So sweeeeeet right? Hee..

After Chatuchat, we decided to go back and drop our buys (er, more of her buys.. Heh) at the hotel.. And I decided to con her into showing me all the stuff that she bought when I was at the "cafe".. So as to gain more time for myself to rest before she goes crazy shopping again...

But we did leave for shopping after an hour of her parading around in all her new stuff..

We went back to MBK again... But this time we didn't shop much there.. Instead, we went to this new shopping place called Siam Paragon... We discovered it on the first day... Went back there on the 2nd day....

Can't see very clearly, but the outside of this place is very prettily decorated...

The inside is busy like mad.....

With a BEEEEEEG supermarket....

First of all, Siam Paragon is NEW... Like Super New.. Hahaha when we first discovered it, 10th Dec, it was only the SECOND day of opening!!! The official date of opening was 9th Dec... Cool right? Another thing about this place is that it ONLY sells high-end stuff... Er... Dont't rememeber the rest, but there were definitely Gucci, Burberry's and probably higher ranges... Tag Heuer maybe? And there were many Thai brands that are very high end as well.. Don't remember the names liao la.. But all I cannot afford one la.. Hahaha.. Anyway, so this place was damn cool....

Anyway, we wanted to go there for a nice dinner, but it turned out to be shite.... It's a restaurant-like place I think.. It's like those in Wisma, several restaurants in a clutter.. Except that the one there was quite lousy.. Service was bad, food was slow AND not that great....

Look at how sad she is...

Anyway, inside this place, there were some cars on display.. Not just any cars.. There were Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and one other which I don't remember what liao....

Sleeeeeeek.. Wouldn't mind having one of these, even for just a day..... Dreeeeeeam.........

The next day (a.k.a the third day, Monday, 12 Dec), since I was quite dead from the previous two nights' shopping, I decided to stay in... So my Shopping Queen sister went out on her own to MBK and the shops in its periphery...

When she came back at about 2pm BKK Time, we left for the next shopping place.. It's called Sam Pheng.. Near Chinatown... This place is the highlight of our trip man..

Busy busy busy shops stretch across many many many streets...

This place sells all kinds of stuff, for kids, for women, for men (less), for aunties, for housewives, for retailers, for shoppers, for distributors, for everybody! Mostly for women/retailers selling women's stuff though.. Seriously, it's so obvious that women's money is so much easier to con! Women's accessories are all over this place... And going at disgustingly low prices... Earrings are 10 baht a pair! That's 40c! Goodness.... To think I've been buying $5 earrings all over Singapore.. And I keep thinking that $5 is super cheap... Sam Pheng sells stuff that are sold in Singapore, for way way WAY lower prices! And so we went crazy... One thing though.. Shopping here, no haggling of prices allowed.. Prices are fixed, very low but very fixed.. And everything goes at wholesale prices and wholesale amounts.. Meaning if I like one or two designs of earrings, Erjie and I would have to choose about 10 other designs to make it a dozen so they will sell us.. So expectedly, we bought a lot of earrings.. Erjie bought more than I did la.. I only bought about 20 pairs of earrings in the whole trip.. 18 for myself and a few for others, to be exact.. ONLY.. Hehe...

Shopping at Sam Pheng was killer.. And we ONLY went through one tiny stretch of the entire place.. But it was very shiok to shop there, because the shops are so close together that you would find yourself stopping to look and buy more than you are walking through the street... And it's very fun to keep hearing the sellers saying "Retail no sale, Wholesale Ply Oni" in their cute Thai accent... And the thing is both me and Erjie had adopted their accent and kept asking them for the "Wholesale Ply".. Hee..

And of course, after Sam Pheng closed for the day at 7pm SG Time, my shopper sister didnt have enough and so we went back to Patpong for the night...

Me in the midst of crazy shoppers

Okay, I know I look shocked here.. We were trying to be funny....

And the last day had us going back to the Two more important places of the trip.. Sam Pheng and the street shops near MBK.... Hehe.. Buying more more more stuff....

All in all, shopping in Bangkok is great, even though I was with a Killer Shopping Queen who refuses to leave wherever we were shopping despite the fact that I was having diarrhoea and my legs were in major pain most of the time.... Heh.. I was killed several times by the endless shopping... I really was.. Thankfully the pretty stuff revived me.......

@Home: Me and all of our Buys!!!

(Wow.. This post took me 4 hours... Because I was doing my aunt's stuff as well... It's now actually 9pm.... Heh..)
