-*- 五年天!
A certain love story for everyone....

In the wee hours in the morning of 31st January 2001, a certain boy and a certain girl were on the phone.. Chatting as they had been doing for a few months, the two were experiencing emotions they didn't know to explain... Something had happened to them, something extraordinary, something very wonderful...

It had all started a few months before The Day...

One fine day, because she was a very "sociable" person, a certain stupid form teacher decided to change her seats to shut the girl up.. Changing her to a seat where she was surrounded by guys she didn't usually talk to... And teacher thought that would help.. On the girl's part, it did help, the girl stopped talking to her neighbours... But on her neighbour's part, the certain boy was trying to ease the girl, making her feel at home in the strange land called "The Back of the Classroom." But little did he know, he wasn't exactly the favourite person of the girl.. Due to a certain reason from about a while back, she didn't really like this boy..

And so he was being friendly... But she was extremely displeased with her new seat, though she tried to be nicer to the boy.. (SHE DID!)

Another fine day, the boy and the girl were both extremely bored of studying at home for the examinations (for O Levels..), and both went online to chat.. The popular online chat programme then was ICQ (not IRC, mister!!), and both of them were happening kids, and had each other on their list... Chatting halfway, both decided that they wanted to go out, and so they decided to go for a movie in Plaza Singapura together.. Lame enough, the show was "Gossip"..

After that, things pretty much got friendlier.. The girl realised that the boy wasn't that bad after all.. In fact, he was one of the nicer boys she knew.. And so they start to hang out very often... Playing pool with a whole bunch of friends, going chalets organised by friends, or just hanging out... And definitely talking on the phone A LOT....

The exams were over, and the girl was pseudo-attending school in Serangoon Junior College for the first three months.. Why pseudo? She was barely in school.. Early morning, she would head toward school, mark attendance and leave the school for his home, to hang out until they find something to do, or until their friends (actually there was one specific friend who hanged out quite often with them.. He who stole her bed!) asked them out for pool or something..

And yet another fine day, something happened, they were alone, and they sort of had their first kiss!! Just a tiny one though! But what the hell was that, they both thought.. And it was then that it struck them!! It's so obvious to everybody else, and yet they were blind to it..

They had fallen in love, without even realising it.. They had crossed the friend-line and entered the love-zone..

And so their journey began...

And that's the story of VinZi.. That is, by no means, the end of the story.. Not yet, not ever (hopefully)... It's been five years since, and having gone through ups and downs, we are still very much in love...

And so, we're 5IVE!!!!

"What does the future hold for us?" he asks. Uncertain of what may come, I hope that whatever the future holds, it's for us, together as VinZi..

***To Vin***

Dear, I'm glad to have found you in midst of all the dislike ... Falling in love with you has been the greatest thing that has happened to me.. I know there are days when we have try exceptionally hard, but at the end of the day, it's all worth it.. Looking at us now, it seems too great to be true. And yet it is.. :)

Happy 5ifth Anniversary, my Love!!! Happy 五年天!

I love you.. Thank you, for being you, for loving me...
For so much more, thank you..

For as long as love will last...

-*- To Mike and Mitz:
Wishing you A Lifetime of Happiness...
祝你们一辈子的幸福...
The Special Event:

At Waterfall Lounge in Furama Riverfront, on 22nd January 2006, from 2pm to 6pm: Mike & Mitz' Solemnisation!!!

The People who went:

The blur guys....

Three mad girls...

Erm, obviously a whole bunch of other people went too... But these are the few people that I went with...... Oh! Mitz and Mike were there too! Heh..

Since we arrived earlier than The Couple - we were there at 1.45pm - we went about to take pictures!!!

Man, I miss hanging out with them!

And at our Fave Photo Spot: The Toilet!!!

They are two crazy women huh?

After some photo taking, we found out that The Couple has arrived!! And we were assigned our stuff for the rececption table - mainly the guest list and the thank-you gifts from The Couple.... Everything was done in the sweetest manner! Tables were named, I assume, according the relations... Names like Beautiful (for the bridesmaids I think), Memories (for old friends - US!), and stuff like that.. Very sweet...

At the Reception Table....

Three girls at the Reception!

I secretly stole the bride's flowers....

But she stole it first!!!!

Finally, we managed to take some pictures with the Missus:

The guys and the Missus

Four of us (including the Missus!)!

Kat and the Missus!

Shan and the Missus!

Me and the Missus!

And most importantly:

A picture of The Happy Couple! (sorry, a bit dark, didn't know how to make the camera do what I wanted...)

After everyone has arrived, we settled in our seats and the event started... Couples (Bridesmaids and Groomsmen) walked down the aisle... And a pause, then The Couple!

Then The Couple was seated at the Solemnization Table... And the solemnizer (not sure if that's the way to address her... But she's the one who announced them Man and Wife) started the ceremony by defining Marriage etc etc.. Then the "I Do" questions... And exchange of vows... And exchange of Rings!!! Erm, I deeply apologise, but I sincerely can't quite remember the details, as I was busy trying to get everything Video-ed (which I kinda failed terribly....).... But the whole solemnisation was very sweeet and I was deeply touched.. I'm happy for Mich to have found her happiness, really, and it was very touching....

She was smiling very happily when she came around to our table...

A toast to our Dearest Mich!!! To Epopotamus and Mr. Epopotamus!!!! ;)

Look at that smile!!! She wasn't even posing for me! (This shot was candid la..)

Anyway, after the solemnisation (a.k.a signing of the Marriage Certificate), it was food time and photo taking time.. Heheh, well, the photos are with her photographer, so I don't have anything....

BUT!!!

The food (buffet) was preetty good!!!! And I have pictures!!!

Yummy Fruit Tartlets! *slurps*

Ya, I know, it's quite lame to be taking pictures of the fruit tartlets and there was more food than that.. But we did have a bit of fun there.. Heheh.. Because not only were the tartlets delicious, they were preeeeetty! Heheh..

So I was saying that the whole thing was very sweet right? The Thank-You gift was also very pretty!!

The lovely flowers of the bride!

A Close-up of the Thank-you gift! ;)

I'm really very happy for my dear friend.. I think she really has, after setbacks and disappointments, found her happiness.. And I can tell that she really treasures this very precious gift.. And for that, I hope they will continue to make everything perfect, if not for themselves, for the love they have...

-*- I shopped, And I shopped, And I shopped.
Hmm, just got back from a major shopping spree... Been going for lotsa shopping sprees since late December... For good reasons, and excellent excuses!! Hahah.. Okay, reason number one: My clothes are getting old and tattered... (Fine, that's a bit of an excuse also. Whatever.) Reason number two a.k.a Excuse number one: Chinese New Year is coming, so must wear new clothes, to signify a new year, happy beginning etc etc.. I mean seriously, Chinese New Year is like once in a year la! Of course I must wear new stuff right? Erm, the clothes being nice is just an added bonus, of course.. The most important reason is actually cos I have free shopping sprees!!! All thanks to my dearestestestest ("dearestestestest" means Very very and truly dear.) Vincent!!! Okay, don't you think that I'm leeching off him!! It's for legit reasons! First of all, he decided to sponsor my shopping trips in December as my Christmas pressie.... So I decided to buy my CNY clothes, so I won't waste money buying CNY clothes again...

So I went for several shopping trips.. And I managed to get some plain looking stuff... Which are as follow:

From Zara:
Zara: basic tops

Okie, I like these, because they are very simple and casual, and quite nice too. Suits me..

From Topshop:

Topshop: basic white top

Topshop: Moto basic tops

As above.. Haha simple, plain and nice, casual, comfy..... ;) I know, I have lotsa tops pretty much the same as these, but they are all old and tattered, remember? Heh.

From Fox:

Fox: long sleeved top - 'Perfect'

Fox: long sleeved top - Act Sporty

Fox: orange/brown long sleeved top

Okay, I have stopped wearing nice long sleeves, so I decided to get like, three at one go.. Hahaha.. All from the same shop same day!! Okay, the act sporty one is one that I really quite like.. It's a white long sleeve, with a racerback thingie coming out from behind, and it looks quite sporty.. So I like it quite a bit.. Maybe I can fool some people into thinking I'm into sports... *erm, maybe not, but I like the top, so who cares!*

From B.U.M:

Bum: green/yellow top

Bum: dark denim skirt with green lining

I love the green top!! Very bright and chirpy feeling! With the BUM word so big! Hahah that's like my middle name la! Jiazi Bum Xu! Wahahahahah... And the skirt? I figured I should buy stuff that I may be able to wear to work. So there you go! Hah..

From Diesel:

Diesel: medium denim skirt

From East India Company:

East India: long ivory skirt

Unknown:

Unknown: pink 'ethnic' skirt

Unknown: orange skirt

I lurve these skirts! Okay, those who know me well may know that I've been complaining of lack of skirts.. So I figured, might as well buy a few more! Hahah.. Oh, but these aren't paid by Vin, just so happen that ALL four are from my Erjie.. Haha.. Oh well....

And I actually have this two pants (one long and one capris) that I bought about two months ago, but haven't worn.. Decided to categorise them under CNY clothes a month after buying them... But lazy to take pictures of them..

Ermmm, I know, the clothes are quite plain looking stuff, but I like them a lot..

Then came another gift from him, for my birthday.... Now this is much more exciting.. Well, obviously, another shopping spree is what he has given me for my birthday... But it was quite an impromptu thing, because my birthday is actually a month from now (17th February!!!).. And we hadn't planned on buying much stuff today (20th Jan, that is..).. Lay and I had wanted to go shopping for something for me to wear for Mich's solemnisation, so we went Orchard after our Cultures lect.. And round and round we went, but didn't see anything that I exceptionally lurrrrve, so we didn't get anything.. WEELLLLL, at least not until after dinner (bento set from Tori-Q)!!! After eating at TANGS basement, we decided to head toward Heeren..

And VOILA!

There's this MAGICAL shop there.. Magical because everything there looks FANTABULOUSTIC! It's called MU '木' ('wood')... Lurve the clothes there! So different and very fashionable! Hehehe SO, I decided, I MUST buy something from there.. And so I tried on SOOO many things.. And as I came out of the fitting room for the hundredth time, Vin pulled me aside and told me that I should buy more things from the shop.. I was majorly hesitant, because the stuff ain't cheap, and I had already bought so many things from previous shopping trips! And then he was like, "No, I shall pay for you!" And I was like!! WHY???? I didn't want him to be wasting so much money on me, after he had already bought me a lot of things for my Christmas pressie!! Then he was like, "I'll buy them for you, but you must let me off for your birthday then!" And apparently, my eyes glittered! Hahahah inside I was mildly extremely excited.. Hahah I mean, isn't it any girl's dream to have shopping sprees paid for? (Lay said YES!!! to that question.. So I believe that to be true..) And so I bought.. But I was nice, I didn't wanna waste too much of his money.. And so I ONLY picked out two sets.. But that was erm, wasteful enough...

From MU:

MU: lime green multi strips top

MU: red 'U' neckline top

MU: grey art deco skirt

MU: light blue wrap skirt look-like

I exceptionally like the blue skirt a lot, because it was picked out by him.. And he seems to be extremely pleased with himself.. And it is really very pretty.. Lurve it! The grey skirt is very irresistable too! It's very well, artsy? Hehe.. And the green top was quite an interesting top.. Has stringies from all over to all over, with crunched up cloth.. Very messy, but a bit artsy too.. Hehe.. I had actually picked it out as just a top to see if this other bottom looks nice, but I ended up buying it.. Haha quite silly... But it's nice.. And the red top, haiz, the picture seems plain.. But it's quite a nice top, a little plain but with a certain design at the collar, and the red is very striking, but not too loud, so just about right. ;p

Hmmm, Lay also bought two tops and a bottom. Her bottom is very Jap, and yet not very over.. And I lurve her tops! Erm, one is just a tank, but with very nice trims at the bottom (flowy kind, if I'm not wrong) and the other one is very nice.. Erm, the sleeve (on one side) is capped, I think, and one the other is three quarter, with a slit!!! VEry classy and very beautiful..

So we had a great time shopping in the magical shop.. Haha and I got membership at the place! Hahaah we kind spent more than enough to have the free member card la! Aiya, but the clothes were very pweeeetty la, so we left the shop happy women (and man)! Hahaha..

I lurve my dearestestestest!!!! ;)

-*- Of Nara, Maple Cookies and My Canadian Idols (upclose!)!
So one of my most fave girls is back from an exchange.. Christine Chen Huiqing!! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!! She went Canada for FIVE months and finally came home on 6th January!!

Been three weeks since she got back and finally I saw her yesterday, for KTV, and today, for SSB2216...

First: Grand Arrival of Nara my dear!
For the week of 6th January, before Nara's arrival, we had arranged to sort of give her a surprise by going to the airport to receive her! So on the day before, we confirmed her flight number with her sis, and notified everyone (er, actually only Lay, me, Elvin and Esther) of the time of arrival..

On the day itself, well........ I woke up about 30 mins before I was supposed to meet the peeps at the airport... So rush rush and messaged Lay and everything.. Rush Rush Rush.. FINALLY, at the time which I was supposed to meet them, I left HOME. Hahaha even driving isn't that fast! Pretty dead huh? And before I left for the airport, I checked the arribal schedule, turns out, her flight arrived EARLY and had already landed SEVEN minutes before I left home!! Hahahah so I SMSed Lay to ask where she is.. And she was late TOO!! Then our last resort, Elvin... We SMSed him, and he's EVEN LATER!! Goodness, so much for surprise... We might not even get to see her, and Elvin was coming from JURONG!!! (apparently, he had to have his passport "chopped".. Haha) Just for HER!!!

So in order not to make everyone miss the star, I parked VERY QUICKLY and rush rush rush run run run!! I didn't even know the belt number!! And the flight was out of the arrivals' displays!!! Haha.. Blindly, I went up the escalator, on the phone with Lay, informing her that I'm the earliest.. At about half hour after the plane touched down...

As I was reaching the top of the escalator, I saw the most splendid sight!!! CHRISTINE CHEN HUIQING!!!! QING~~~~~~~~!!!! I went absolutely mad... NARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I think that was my exact word! Wahahhaha!! Instantly stupid bimbo just wanted to take off and run away from ME! Stupid pigu! And I was like mad, jumping up and down, running after the panicky woman to snatch hugs and pushing the phone to her and screaming in her ears!! Haha I think she got a big shock.. So did about three of her friends (including Cass, who went on the exchange with her..) and Cass' FAMILY!! Oh my god I was such a disgrace...

Anyway, finally, after I managed to convince jet-lagged Nara to stay for a bit longer (and her family had to park their car just so they could wait for her! Sorry Uncle, Kor and Mei!), everyone got there.. And hugs exchanged, words exchanged.. Man I missed her so much! She looked just a tad haggard from the long flight.. And so finally, we decided to release her, to let her go home to rest.. Poor girl, she has been jet-lagged since then... It's been almost THREE weeks... *stares*

So finally, after two and a half weeks, I met up with her for KTV yesterday....

Me, Nara, Lay.

Me & Nara

Me & Lay (A.k.a LayZee!)

Lay & Nara

Was quite fun, considering this is the first time, in the two plus years that I've known Christine, that we went KTV together! Her voice very soothing, and powerful at the same time. Very pleasing.. I LIKE! Hehe...

And!!! She finally passed me the Heavenly Maple Cookies!!!! And Vin is quite bitter that I have it and I'm only willing to share ONE tiny piece.. Wahahaha!!!

Here's what he says:

"Nara's back from Canada and with her, she brought cookies. Of which I have received absolutely none, I am terribly furious and I, of course, will never forgive Nara for it. NEVER. While Nara has denied me the opportunity of consuming these fantabulistic cookies, I however, was able to acquire one off the charity of Zee. The cookies are amazing la! Every bite is like a bite of heaven. It fills you with bliss and the maple filling just MELTS in your mouth making you feel all warm inside. I hate that I'm only gonna have one in my entire life because their from Canada..."

Anyway, to make everyone jealous... Here's a picture of my BOX of Maple Cookies! Total of eight Maple Cookies. Enough to feel heaven but not enough to ever satisfy me!!

Close-up!!!

So I decided, for the benefit of all who visit my blog, I shall demonstrate how good it is, by EATING one and posting PICTURES of me savouring it! Whahahhhah

Put the Maple Cookie into your mouth.....

Feel the crunch of the cookie.. (Although mine was a bit soft already... I think I didn't cover it properly yesterday....)

Feel the filling MELT...... HMMMMMM

YUM!!!

NO!!! It's disappearing!!!!!!

Finally, My Canadian Idols!

Xiang Xiang~~ Cheeeeeee Kian~~~

Hehe got the picture from Christine's blog.. This two guys.. I heard so much about them for five long months, and yet today was the first time I met them... They are two superstars!! Heheh they are part of Christine's gang in Vancouver.. They (the whole gang of them, about 8 people, mostly from Singapore, and one from Hong Kong) practically spent every single day together, doing everything together... So since Christine developed into a "obsessive compulsive blogger" (as Elvin puts it..) in Canada, I read about the whole gang so much I feel like I know them so well!

So I was psyched to be meeting them for the very first time!!! Hahaha so very uncontrollably, I shouted Xiangxiang's name really out loud, when he came into the lecture, late and flustered.. Hahaha I felt so excited, I couldn't help it!!!! So sorry Xiangxiang~.. And Chee Kian was overwhelmed by Yanying, Lay and me.. Hahah I think I was a bit star-struck... Haha damn lame man!!!

A little about them... Xiang Xiang has a proper name, Yan Xiang.. And he took very good care of Christine over there.. Makes sure that the girls in the gang are well taken care of and everything.. He has extremely long eyelashes!!!! Goodness, I couldn't stop looking lor!! Super long.. So jealous.. Hmph! If I get to know him better, I'll snip it off! Wahahahah.. Joking... Hopefully he won't find out.. If not he'll run away from me FOREVER.....

About Chee Kian.. He's Bitchy.. Caps intended... But I was too blur and sleepy to catch their bitchy conversation!! But I'll bet it will come up very often in future conversations.. And man, I would love a bitchy conversation with Cheeeeeeeeeeee Kian! Hehe.. By the way, both of them look way cuter in real life!!!!

Hehe but seriously, I hope they weren't put off by our/my madness.. Hahah they seem like great guys la... Heheh.. MY IDOLS LEH!!!

More to come, I hope! I would love to meet Ever-so Radiant Mabel-jie, Ang Moh Lian Selena, Aunty Killer Dan (I did meet him once, but he was shy I think.....) and the most anticipated Cinnamon Bun Joe!!! Joe is the Hong Konger.. But I think he's coming in May!!! Hahaha.. I hope I do get to meet Nara's friends, because they are such a fun gang... Don't mind knowing some cool people.. Hehehehe...

Okie.. Sorry for the long post... Kinda took me a while to do it too... Blogger didn't let me post the pictures!! So I had a hard time!! It's now 1.35am.. Should go sleep liao..... Morning lecture!! GERMAN!!! Gute Nacht!

Added: An irritating guy Mr. Darryl Bum forced me to say he says "Hi....."
