It's quite a major change la.. I've had long fringe since forever la! Ermmmm the last time I had bangs was... Er.. Long time ago... Here's a pict...

Anyway, about the cutting the bangs thing.. I didn't give it much thought.. I guess I was kinda sick of my long fringe irritating the crap out of me by keep coming down and blocking my view... So bored of that image as well.. So Snip! Snip! Snip! I didn't even realise what I was doing until I finally sat down in that chair and told the hairdresser I wanted bangs.. And I panicked! So started to take the before pictures... So I can reminisce...

-*- What I missed out, On Esplanade...
Oh my God! In my excitement about my Birthday Dinner, I totally forgot that there was a second part to my evening!!!So after the dinner at Ricetable, we decided to move to another place.. Because the two who were late didn't get to eat much, and I still had to cut The Cake..
And so we decided to go to somewhere else to have a bit of munch (for the two of them..) and to let me cut the cake.. So after much much much deliberation, we headed for the Esplanade Makansutra Gluttons Bay!
About 20 minutes later, we reached the place!!! Well, at least half of us (the Hong Kong gang: me, Vin and Winnie) did.. Hehe the other half? Haha wellllll......... They got lost!!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHA!!!
Ahem Ahem...
*more composed* Errrr they very poor thing...... They lost their way.. Poor things........ They had to walk from Millenia Walk's carpark to Esplande.. And they had to walk through Marina Square... But they didn't know the way and direction!! Apparently, they couldn't find the exit to lead to the huge stairs place which faces the Esplanade...
While the three of us waited for the three of them (he who stole my bed, she the cake baker, and she who left the sexy trio for the stupid trio..), the stupid trio took half hour to walk the distance!! The Cake Baker (Nara) and Bed Thief (Bai) must have been so hungry by the time they got there... (Though they didn't really eat la, only ONE chicken wing each..)
And guess what, the Cake Baker was wearing HEELS!!! From what I heard, she who isn't used to wearing heels was complaining a lot about the killer heels, which "are pretty shoes, but not made for walking"... Hahahaha... BUT apparently, she was very quickly calmed and instantaneously cheered up by a CASUAL remark by Bai, which apparently went like that: "but u looked really good wearing them! very nice!"
Hahahahhaha... Bitchy Nara!! Shameless!!! Keeps talking about falling in love with Bai.. Poor Bai.......... Hahahahha...
Anyway, so FINALLY the stupid trio reached...

From Nara's fridge to Bai's car, to The Ricetable, to Bai's car again, to Millenia Walk, to Marina Square, to walking in Marina Square lost, to continuing lost-walk in Marina Square, and FINALLY to the Esplanade Makansutra Gluttons Bay!!! *phew* Poor cake.. And it had to be eaten before it could even cool down!! Poor thing.. But Yummmmmms!!
And finally, I took a picture with the Cake!! So happy!! Lurve the Cake! Ain't it sooooo pweeeetty!! My first baked-from-scratch cake (I still choose to assume that it was baked from scratch! Hahaha) in my entire life (that I can remember, that is..)!!!
Me and The Cake!!After they arrived, we realised we didn't have a knife to cut the cake!! And the stupid place didn't have any Western food stall AT ALL!!! And so Vin, being the most wonderful boyfriend in the world, went to the cafes in Esplanade to borrow one!! Most of them didn't wanna give him a knife, nor lend him.. And Finally, he came back with The Knife!!!

Because it gave me some time to send Nara home, and spend the last few minutes of my birthday 2006 with Vin, in the car.. Was a great evening.. :)

-*- Pwecious Pwesents...
So I don't know if you people have noticed, but I have yet to talk about the presents Vin gave me for Valentine's Day, AND my BIRTHDAY! Yep, he gave me the shopping spree at 木, but he has decided god-knows-when to give me another pressie!! So swweet right!!! And so last Saturday, he decided to surprise me with something so sweet it made me cry...He gave me a call and told me he missed me, and asked if he could come over.. So I was like, "Sure! Why not?" And so he came over.. When he reached, he was holding something ultra pretty...
It's eleven folded roses pasted on a 3D frontless cardboard box.... With a letter stuck to it, a quarter coming out of the box..

one expresses to the other that she is the one he loves most in life..."
Awwwww.. That's sooooo SWEEET right??? So beautiful!! And obviously, I was so touched I teared.. It's the way it was presented la.. I didn't even need to see inside of the Perlini's Boxes to know that I love the presents so much! Really..
Anyway, the rest of the letter is instructions for me regarding the two boxes.. I was supposed to open one box on 14th February and the other on 17th February.. And although it's up to me which one I choose to open first, it was suggested that I opened the left one on Valentine's Day.. And the other on my birthday! So cute hor? It's quite well thought out, even though he only spent like 6 hours on it? Hmmm okie, now 6 hours seem long.. But anyway, I really like the idea of the presents, and the definitely the Eleven Roses...
So later in the day, curiosity got the better of me and I went up to him to ask if I really couldn't open the presents until the two dates... And he was pretty adamant at first, until I started to ask him about the presents and asked him what they were and I started guessing.. And that's when he also gave in, because he's interested to see my initial reaction, my expressions when I see the presents.. And so he gave in and told me I can chooose one to open..... And the other one would have to be opened only on the date said.. And obviously I was okay about it! And so I opened one.. The one which was supposed (suggested) to be opened on my Birthday!!! And........
It's a pair of exquisite earrings!!!I was soooooo happy! It's very beautiful and very very special!!! It's a pair of long dangling earrings, three silver strings of Swarovski Crystals with Pink Pearls of different lengths, creating an elegant allure.... Exquisite!
I lurve the earrings!! And seeing my happy expression and my excitement, he decided that he should force to me open the other one.. I was so against it!! The point of the thing is to make me wait in anticipation what!!! And so he shamelessly opened it for me, and showed it to my face.. But my eyes were closed.. And he just put it on for me!!! Mad person! Put in so much effort, only to spoil it for himself!!! Haha..
Nonetheless... When I saw the present I was super happy la.. Genuinely, from my heart, happy... Because......
It's yet another PReetty Necklace!!!It's a necklace, fastened at the heart, where one end of the necklace will be put through the loop that is the centre of the heart, and that creates a very sleek effect... I really love this necklace.. Wore it TWICE in a week liao! And those who know me would know that I'm not the kind that changes my necklace all the time.. In fact, I only have one necklace that I wear all the time.. But this is very different.. It's very simple but very gorgeous!!! Lurve it Lurve it!!
So there! My presents from Vin Dear!! The sweetest thing would be the Eleven Folded Roses.. Really touched... He's very amazing hor? Haiz I think so too.. Since I'm the kind that won't have that kind of patience to do DIY things, I guess I'm the more fortunate one in the relationship huh? Or at least in that aspect la.. Hehehehe...

-*- My Birthday Evening...
As the clock struck 12, my birthday was officially over.. But the events from the evening are still fresh in my head, and my big grin is still stuck on my face..For today, there had been several ups and downs.. But everything turned out great...
The Sads:
First, there was the absence of my dear buddy, as well as her boyfriend... She had food poisoning.. And apparently she was having fever and could only eat porridge and was too weak to even message me... And she called herself Pukey Kong.. Poor thing...
Second, there was the cake issue.. My friend had to go home and freshen up, as well as take the cake to The Ricetable (where we ate)... But she ended at like 6, when traffic is the most horrid.. And she lives in Bedok!! So ya, she had to be quite late... And she was quite late, later than she would be because of another friend (he who stole my bed, remember?)... He took super long to leave the house! HMPH! Luckily he was apologetic about it.. Haahhaha although if he hadn't been I wouldn't have said anything la... Haha.. So they were late.. And guess what.. The stupid Ricetable place closes at 9.30pm!! What the hell lor.. And last order was at 9pm!! And the two of them actually reached at 9.05.. Haiz.. So they ended up not eating at the yummidelish place...
The Happys:
My Birthday Dinner was YUMMMMMMMMMMMMS! Ricetable is a happy happy place.. Heheh I Lurve Indonesian food... Most importantly, I lurve GOOD Indonesian food!! And Ricetable was good la.. It's buffet style! And four of us ate an eight persons amount of food!!! Was a horrid story.. At first there were only three of us, the Sexy Trio LayZeeVin, and so we didn't start eating.. Until my friend, Winnie (he prefers Wee Ngee, or Rion, But I DON'T CARE!) came, and that's when we ordered a set for Six Persons (for the first serve it's usually recommended that we ordered a set, to try everything in the menu, about 25 dishes I think..).. Because it's in case the other two arrived and didn't have space for all the food in the set.. So came along the six shares of everything.. And well, with the two Kings of Gluttony around, very quickly, we finished more than four shares of everything (almost all of the six shares), and ordered several other dishes more.. And then at 9, when it was the last order, we decided to be nice and ordered two shares of everything for the two of them.. And came the food, but not the two.. And we still didn't dare touch their food.. Hahaha.. And then, they came, at 920!!! And we suggested that they don't eat, but rather eat somewhere else, where they can eat at their own pace.. And not have to pay for the buffet price.. And so the people at Ricetable were nice enough to allow the ridic request, and so in order not to trouble them further, the four of us had to finish THEIR share of food that we ordered!!! By that time, we were practically squeezing everything into our stomachs.. Dying soon, while the two were just looking at us eating, probably salivating big time! And we secretly fed the two of them a bit here and there.. Hahaha.. And so we stuffed an Eight Persons Meal into four persons' stomachs!!
Anyway, although at first there were only four of us, we had a lot of fun still.. And the two who joined us later, we had fun feeding them secretly as well!! Hahahah and we made a video of Winnie.. We made a video of him eating like a hungry hungry hungry erm, ghost? errrr.. Glutton la.. Hahah he looked ultra hungry.. If I can upload the vid, I'll upload and let you all see! (Added an hour later...)Okay, I just uploaded the Vid to google video!!! After it's okayed by them, I'll try to upload!! ;p

Another happy happy thing is the fact that I have friends celebrating my birthday with me.. I was very happy during the dinner... Especially after the two finally arrived!! It felt great la.. Friends turning up to have dinner with me to celebrate my birthday with me.. Very touched...
The Group!!!And the gifts? Also another Happy thing! I got my first present from these people! Apparently they bought me two presents, and one of them is still with Ms Pukey Kong.. But I got one already! Oh! And of course my other present, The Cake!!!

You shouldn't have.. :) But really, thanks.. I lurve the Present!
And guess what!!! I got another surprise when I got home too!!! I walked into the room with my happy grin and was a little bewildered at this shadow of something on my bed, looked like a very spread-out bear or something... And when I turned on the lights, I saw A BOUQUET OF FLOWERSSS!!!!! I was reallly stunned! Totally surprised and very very happy... Because I know who gave it to me.. My dearestest Dajie.... She's the sweetest Dajie anyone can ever get, really.. Ultra beautiful flowers!! And she meant for it to be a surprise! So sweet right? She had called me to find out if I had reached home before she came over to put it on my bed, properly propped up on my duckie's back... It's very very pretty.. 12 White roses, with purple wrap! So Pretty!
Very Pretty Right!!! I lurve them! Very touched by it, actually.. So happy!! :) I Lurveeeee Dajie!!!! Muacks!
And that is the wonderful evening of my birthday.. From start till end, I enjoyed myself fully.. Vin, My friends, The Presents, The Cake, The Surprises, The Flowers, and everything sweet... And spending the last few minutes of my birthday with My Vinvin on the car just chatting was the best way to end the evening.. For everything and everything this man has done for me, I am really thankful, and I do love him so...

-*- Today is the day that...
Today is my birthday!! (YES!! My Angmoh Birthday!!) Hehe.. But things don't seem that great today.. So far, today has been the day that (not in chronological order, but rather, for the effect, in level of seriousness...):- my buddy cannot make it for my birthday dinner because of food poisoning (poor girl...)
- my other buddy can't make it on time for my birthday dinner...
- I got back my lousy german results...
- my paper clip's cutesy character dropped
- I got a big fright by a stupid friend who came out of nowhere from behind me and wished me Happy Birthday (Thanks hor, "A**h***" ;p)...
- my sandals broke...
- I had my first time... walking barefoot.. all over Arts Fac... (according to Lay, every one will have to have walk barefoot at least once in their life.. So there, today was my turn...)
But!! Luckily, I have some happy events to make me, well, happy (hehz):
- Many people remember my birthday! And most of them messaged me to wish me Happy Birthday!
- I got my money for my TOTO winning a week ago... (I chose to claim it today because I thought there will be a receipt for me to boast about my birthday present to myself... But well, there isn't...)
- I'm having a Birthday Dinner at The Ricetable (@Cuppage Terrace)!!
- I'll be getting a cake! And no ordinary cake! It's a cake that is baked from scratch (erm, actually I'm not sure.. But I would like to believe that it was baked from scratch)!!!! So exciting! First time in my 22 years that someone is baking me a cake.. Thanks Nara dear!! Wurve!
- Today is my birthday!!!! Hehe.. That is the most important eh? ;p
To everyone that remembered, Thanks a Million!! To those who forgot, YOU HAVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT!!

-*- The Lunar Big Day!
It's my LUNAR BIRTHDAY!!!Hahaha quick! Wish me happy birthday! Hehehe..
Yup, my lunar birthday is the 16th of the first month.. Usually, throughout the whole Chinese New Year, whenever we go out to eat or we have a feast at home (and we have MANY feasts during CNY), my family will keep saying that it's a dinner to celebrate my birthday! So my Lunar Birthday celebration usually lasts FIFTEEN days! Heehee.. Rocks huh? Well, that's one advantage of a first month baby! Hahah or is it just the culture in my home? Hahaha..
Anyway, this year, nothing was mentioned during the feasts.. Everyone is too busy with their own lives, and they may have forgotten that it's my birthday soon... Dajie and Kor are busy with the pregnancy stuff (by the way, it's a BOY!!! Duh, anyone on my msn would know right.. Bleh).. Erjie busy with work, as always.. And Daddy & Mummy were sick in the first few days, and hardly had energy to work, let alone to busy themselves with me.. Well, that leaves only Vin, who has no such tradition.. But he did give me a little surprise (quite a big one actually, and very sweet one) though not for the Lunar Birthday.. (Will talk about it in another post!! Heheh)... And so no one in my family cares about my birthday!!! -fake weeps-
But anyhow, we're going for a dinner at iGen (Japanese Buffet!! Here I come!!!) tonight.. My parents say it is for my birthday, but my Erjie says it's for her to treat because of her extremely huge bonus.. I bet she still doesn't realise that my birthday is coming soon.. So yah.. Haiz, I live with a heartless family.. Boohoo.. Hahahah..

-*- The 10 Million Dollar Experience....
So the whole of Singapore knows about the $10 million dollars ToTo HongBao Draw: A Once-a-year Phenomenon right? Well, so a lot of people do buy righT? Spend lotsa lotsa money on it right? Even though you've never bought Toto before, you may have also joined in the fun right? And so I did too...Actually, in the 1st week of Chinese New Year and I was already thinking about how much I should spend on Hongbao Draw this year... (Yes, I buy almost every year, if I can remember, that is.. And who forgets, seriously?) So for some weird reason, I decided that we (Vin and I) should spend more this year, whereas Vin decided that we shouldn't even spend any money on it.. And somehow, Vin kinda persuaded me into not buying, and so I decided that I won't be buying this year..
But come 9th Feb, i.e. yesterday, my family and I were having our usual chat sessions, when Erjie and I routinely slacked in my parents room, disturbing them, and refusing to let them sleep... (And here's a little silly story about my dad...) And out of nowhere, Daddy asked me to check out the Toto draw time on 10th Feb... And so I did... Told him 10 O'clock, and thinking that it's 10 AM, he went... OH! MEI YOU LE! ("oh! no more already!").. As though he had lost his 10 million dollars... Then my whole family started making fun of him, mocking him.. And that's when I stopped everyone, and told them it's 10PM! Nonetheless, Daddy made a fool out of himself! But we still love him! ;p
And so I think he went to buy Toto this afternoon, or morning, not sure, I got home about 7... And after Lay went home, after visiting my dog (yes, I got another one..), I reminded myself to go buy a few sets of numbers too.. And I went about doing my stuff, until I suddenly remembered that I FORGOT TO BUY TOTO!!
At 915pm (!!!), I left the house, with Vin's numbers, even though he was the one who said he didn't wanna buy this year.. (Pig.. Oink!) Anyway, I decided to drive, even though the Singapore Pools place is like five minutes walk from my place... Hahah no time to lose man! And so in like a minute, I reached the opposite side of the Singapore Pools Branch, where I wanted to park, because parking at the road side on the side of the branch would be a mistake, since everyone is probably there for the Toto H.B.D, or some funny horse racing matches... And so I parked at the opposite side, in opening of a street that a lot of cars need to turn to get to the opposite traffic (which actually is the side of the traffic where my house is, but let's not confuse you.. hahah).. I had thought that I would only need to park there for a while, and all the cars were able to turn into the small street and hence I wasn't very in the way... So after parking, I very dangerously JAYWALKED across, to the branch, only to realise that I left my pouch in the car... And so I dangerously jaywalked back to the car to get the pouch and very dangerously jaywalked back to the Sg Pools Branch...
So when I get there, I realised there was a special counter Just For Toto H.B.D... And I started shading Vin's numbers quickly, because I only had like 10 minutes to enter his numbers, as well as coming up with my own numbers... And so I paid for his, and started on mine... And that's when stuff started to happen.. I was queuing, very absorbed in my betting, and then I heard this very loud honk from the road just outside the branch.. And I was thinking to myself, "What the..? Do you really need to be so loud? And so INSISTENT?" The guy was holding the honk down, creating an insistent and irritating honk.. And then I decided to K-poh.. Then I turned around and I saw....
A BUS!!!!!
Trying to turn into the lane I parked my car!!!
But unable to turn... Because someone (something, actually) was blocking it!!!
And behind it,
A stream of cars!! Quite a few cars... 4? Perhaps more....
Everyone was honking.. At the thing that was blocking the way...
AT MY CAR!!!!!!!!
"Oh my GOD!!!!" I thought.. But I'm NEXT in line!! I'm placing bets for myself already!! I don't have time!! I had like TWO minutes before they close!! So in order to look inconspicuous, I decided to have this look on my face, like everyone else's.. A look that says: "EXACTLY which retard parked his DAMN car there!!!!"
And then, yes! It's my turn! And quickly, I put in my bets, and because I was using NETS to pay, it was particularly S-L-O-W!!! To think the guy who was queuing behind me got his receipts and betting tickets faster than I did.. And I was the one who was jamming up the whole street! And FINALLY, I got my stuff.. And like a mad woman, I started shouting: "EXCUSEME!! SORRYEXCUSEME!!! SORRYSORRYEXCUSEME"
And that kinda got everyone's attention.. Heads turned from the road (with the honking BUS and CARSSSSSSSS) to me, and everyone realised that the REtard was ME! And someone started to shout at me! And everyone FOLLOWED!!! As I ran out of the shop, people saw me and they realised it was me, and so they shouted... Stuff like "Wah Lao!" "WAH!" "WAh lan oy!!" "ORRHHHHHH" and classic, "SUMMON LIAO LAH!!!!!" (and they don't pronounce summon.. They say "SAH MAHHN"!) Goodness! I was freaked!!! When I stepped out, I saw a longer stream of cars, behind the bus, ALL HONKING!!! Easily 10 up cars!!! GOODNESS!
Frantically, I extremely DANGEROUSLY ran across the road again, and RAN to the car, with ALL The cars HONKING LOUDER at me!! Brrr...
Like that's not bad enough......
As I reached the car, I managed to very quickly take out my car keys! But guess what! My stupid car remote decided that it should just stop working all of a sudden! **Panic** And helplessly, I squeezed, tapped, hit, and knocked the remote, trying to get it to work again.. It just wouldn't work! Desperate, I unlocked the car with my car keys.. An action that would trigger the ALARM!!! And trigger the alarm I did.. Usually, when I'm not panicking like that, the alarm will be switched off very easily and very smoothly by me.. BUT! OF all times, I happened to not be able to shut the alarm now!! *dead* And it doesn't help to start engine, car alarms don't shut up just because you start the engine... But I started it up anyway.. And true enough, alarm continued!! Grrr... Desperate STILL, I decided to drive away, with the alarm loud and deafening.... Or at least move out of the bus and the MANY cars' way first.... And so I did.. Moved about 10 metres or so...
10 metres ahead, and with many killer stares from all drivers passing by, I started to try to fix the damn ALARM.. After like 10 secs of trying, I gave up, and turned my attention to the remote instead... Squeezing it, tapping it, knocking it.. FINALLY, it was okay again! And so I pressed to shut the alarm, and finally, my car silenced..
In the short span of 20 minutes, I illegally parked, jaywalked twice, no, THRice, rushed against time to buy Toto, held up a BUS and ten other cars, had dozens of people shouting at me, jaywalked AGAIN, had my remote spoil on me, and drove with deafening alarm... It's safe to say I was pretty T-R-A-U-M-A-T-I-S-E-D....
Anyway, after that, I was pretty spaced out, and I chionged to catch the bus, and overtook it, for no reason at all... I was thinking I should ask if they are gonna issue me a summons.. But I slowed down and decided to park in the parking bay of Kembangan MRT instead... Hahahah... Let's just pray hard for me regarding the summons thing.. Heheh..
So that was hell of an experience for me man.. Traumatised man!
But in retrospection, I find the entire experience extremely exhilarating.. I was so high afterwards man! Nara and Lay can testify to that.. I was so crazy when I was telling them about the whole thing, everything to everything... I think I said the words "Never so high in my life before!" Hahaha, perhaps... Perhaps not.. Haha but nonetheless, it was quite a thrilling evening la.. Heheh
I bet you must be thinking: "ALL this just for TOTO???? You don't even know if you're gonna win for sure!" Well, ya, I have to agree la.. But let's just hope that I didn't get issued a summons lor..

Hahahahha... Well, I have only four matching numbers... So that's EXTREMELY little payout only la.. Not too sure.. Anyway, it's enough to cover my bets la! In fact, it's enough to cover Vin's bets as well (we bet very small one la..), but since it's gambling, I made it a rule to keep the accounts straight.. So he paid me the money for his bets.. But Valentine's Day Dinner will be on me! Hahaha it's so gonna be more than what I won, but doesn't matter la! As long as we're happy! Hahaha...
