-*- Post-Dated: The Shell Economy Challenge, Raffles Marina, And the Best Guo Tie (Fried Dumplings) in Singapore!
Yes, I was in the Shell Fuel Economy Challenge 2006! (Click for more info from SHELL... And here's Vin's post on it...Basically, as Vin has already posted on his blog, it's a FUel Economy Challenge.. Nope, it's not a challenge where "Competitors will pit their driving skills against the best in the country in a series of Drifts Races, Sprints and Outruns".. Nor will there be "Bonus points will be given to the most well decorated car.".. Plain ol' Fuel Efficiency Challenge..
Anyway, I signed up for this thing when I was bored at home, and was listening to Class 95 one day.. Didn't expect to get chosen to take part la.. But all in good fun! We're NOT gonna win. Definitely, Surely, Confirm, No Questions, No doubt, No chance at all...
BUT!
We were still in, For THe FUN!!! And for the free lunch + brekkie (on the day of briefing, and the day of competition)!!! Whahaha AND DEFINITELY FOR THE FREEEEEE TANK OF PETROL!!!
Yupz, free petrol..
But we had to travel 40 KM to eat those free mealS!!!
Which brings me to the 2nd part of my post..
RAFFLES MARINA!!!
DANG! The rich people are TOO MUCH!! They BUY BOATS, and park them AT SUPER COOL LOOKING PLACES! Dang! And the marina is like SO DAMN FAR!
But I really like that place man.
The wind is so strong Vin almost got blown away.
Like I said, ALMOST.
After the briefing, we went to have a rare treat at our favourito Guo Tie (fried dumplings) place! It's a rare treat becos it's really far away from home! All the way in Margaret Drive! And we rarely travel around for food.. So yummaz! Was happy!
This is the Suan La Tang (Sour & Spicy Soup)!
Me enjoying it THOROUGHLY!
Vin enjoying it JUST A LITTLE BIT...
And FINALLY.. The Yummmmmmmmeeeeeeest Guo Tie!!
Hahahah turns out I only took one picture of the Guo Tie.. Oh well, I was enjoying it too much.. As you can tell, Vin actually couldn't wait for me to finish taking pictures of it.. He already had one.. Greedy pig...
But.. I did remember my parents! So I bought like TWENTY for them! Hehee.. Happy leh~!!
